Evan Robert Johnson

A Bronx native and Randolph High School Class of 2013 graduate, Evan is a technology talent strategist, educator, and leader in artificial intelligence. He earned a dual-major Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Hunter College in 2017 and a Master of Arts in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Brooklyn College in 2020. Evan has contributed to leading technology organizations including Peloton, Snapchat, and Microsoft. He currently serves as an Engineering Talent Lead within Microsoft AI, supporting hiring initiatives across advanced AI products and research organizations, including Copilot and Bing. In addition to his industry work, Evan is an Adjunct Professor at Brooklyn College, where he mentors graduate students pursuing careers in business, technology, and organizational leadership.

Jennifer Mack

Jennifer is a communications and culture strategist with more than 15 years of experience building community, driving engagement, and creating meaningful connections through storytelling and events. She currently serves as Director of Communications at VML, one of the largest advertising agencies in the world. In this role, she leads internal communications and culture strategy, partnering closely with executive leadership to bring people-centered initiatives to life. A proud alumn of A. Philip Randolph High School, Jennifer is passionate about giving back to the community that helped shape her foundation. Jennifer believes that a strong alumni network can create lasting opportunities, mentorship, and impact far beyond graduation.

Donte Jones

A Harlem native whose journey from corporate executive to entrepreneur is rooted in perseverance. Donte earned his B.S. in Finance from SUNY New Paltz, where his involvement with INROADS and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. shaped his leadership foundation. Donte spent almost a decade years at J.P. Morgan Chase as a Business Relationship Manager advising startups and small businesses, sharpening his expertise in building and scaling companies. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law and practiced Mergers & Acquisitions at a top national law firm before stepping away from corporate law to pursue entrepreneurship full-time. Today, he is the Co-founder and CEO of Lyrically Correct, a culture-driven music trivia game built alongside his wife and cousins. Passionate about impact, Donte helped establish C.O.O.L. Kids NYC, a non-profit investing in the next generation of leaders.

Dr. Katie Duarte

Dr. Katie Duarte, is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Latinx Studies at Smith College. She earned my Ph.D in Sociology from Brown University and B.A. in Economics from Vassar College. Dr. Duarte was born and raised in the Bronx in New York City. She  am a Dominican-Yorker though and through: Spanglish, mangú, and hustle. She is a curly hair / pajón enthusiast. A Fun fact about Dr. Duarte is that she trained in beauty school as a curly hair specialist in the Dominican Republic in 2023! She also enjoy cooking, visiting museums, exercising, and watching basketball.

Percy Lambert

Percy Lambert is a seasoned Management and Program Analyst with more than 15 years of experience in the federal government, specializing in human resources, workforce strategy, program management, and organizational effectiveness. Throughout his career, he has led and supported initiatives that enhance operational performance, strengthen workforce capabilities, and advance organizational goals. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehouse College and a Master's degree from Georgetown University. His professional expertise includes human capital management, strategic planning, policy analysis, and process improvement, with a strong commitment to developing innovative solutions that drive measurable results. Percy lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Kristilyn and daughter Kennedy.

Kanika Brooks Peters

Kanika Brooks Peters grew up in The South Bronx, USA. She attended A. Philip Randolph High School, where she was a member of Sound Business Institute for four years. After graduating from Randolph, she attended Columbia University, studying math and statistics. Kanika taught math for four years and is currently a relationship consultant at a nationally recognized third party administrator. Over the years, Kanika has been dedicated to making a difference in her community. She served as a Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York youth mentoring organization and was a board member of the Juanita James Memorial Scholarship Foundation (JJMSF). In 2025, she received a Citation of Merit from the Bronx Borough President, Vanessa L. Gibson, for her work with JJMSF. In 2026, she was selected by her daughter’s school to receive the Public Education Partnership Award. Kanika is excited to join the SBI Associate Board!

Jen Flores

Jen Flores is a commercial real estate broker at Colliers in New York City, specializing in tenant representation and office leasing for growing companies across industries. Prior to joining Colliers, she gained foundational research and analytics experience at Cushman & Wakefield. She holds a double major in Economics and Public Policy from Gettysburg College, with additional credentials from Harvard Business School and the NYU Shack Institute of Real Estate. A proud Dominican American and Bronx native, Jen brings a community-rooted perspective to everything she does. She is a member of CoreNet, REBNY, and the Urban Land Institute, and sponsors several AI and tech communities, including a women in AI network. A certified yoga instructor and writer, her work sits at the intersection of real estate, community, and opportunity.

Ludeen McCartney-Green

Ludeen McCartney-Green is a Legislative Attorney for the Montgomery County Council, where she serves as legal counsel to the Council and advises on legislative, policy, and governance matters. In this role, she provides legal analysis and recommendations related to legislation development, parliamentary procedure, regulations, and other issues affecting the County’s legislative process. With more than 13 years of legal experience, Ludeen has developed extensive expertise in public policy and government affairs. Prior to joining the Montgomery County Council, she worked in the Maryland General Assembly, where she focused on housing, healthy homes, landlord-tenant law, energy efficiency, and environmental policy. Ludeen’s professional experience spans the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She has worked for nonprofit organizations, private law firms, state and federal government agencies, and served as a U.S. Congressional intern. Beyond her legal career, Ludeen is committed to youth development and community engagement. She coaches youth basketball, mentoring young athletes and fostering teamwork, discipline, leadership, and confidence both on and off the court. Ludeen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Pre-Law) from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the J. Franklin Bourne Bar Association and is actively involved in community outreach and educational initiatives that promote civic engagement and public service.

Geo Abreu

Geo is a Washington Heights Native and an alumnus of A. Philip Randolph Campus High School, He has been connected to SBI since his freshman year through the Theatre Tech Program. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design and brings over 15 years of experience in graphic design, video production, and digital media. Geo supports SBI’s programming through visual storytelling, technical production, and multimedia strategy that amplifies student voice and community impact.

Tatanisia Lumley

Tatanisia Lumley, a dynamic force with a passion for fostering inclusivity and creating impactful career pathways within the construction industry. Before joining Building Skills NY, Tatanisia served as the Program Coordinator for BronxWorks' Strong Fathers, Stronger Families program, dedicating her efforts to maximizing training and employment outcomes for both custodial and non-custodial parents. Since joining the Building Skills NY team, Tatanisia has been unwavering in her commitment to connecting jobseekers with valuable training and employment opportunities. Her dedication extends beyond mere placement, as she provides top-notch case management services, ensuring a holistic approach to career development. Tatanisia played a pivotal role in integrating Building Skills NY's Construction Career Accelerator Training program into the organization's model, elevating programmatic outcomes. Her expertise is underscored by her graduation from WPTI's 2020 Job Developer Leadership Group and her role as a panelist.

Jessica Monroe

Jessica Monroe is a creative force like no other — a multitalented singer, songwriter, composer, and music producer who channels passion, purpose, and power into every beat, lyric, and visual. As the visionary behind her self-titled record label, book publishing imprint, and 3 film production companies, CHRYSALIX creates artistically immersive movements. Her signature philosophy, “Butterfly Beautiful,” is a mindset that speaks to transformation, growth, and the ongoing journey of becoming the best version of oneself. Currently directing a groundbreaking musical episodic series, CHRYSALIX is using her platform to inspire audiences through words, music and visuals that spark the imagination.

Mariana Marte

Mariana Marte is a Police Officer with the New York City Police Department, where she also serves as a Field Training Officer, mentoring and developing newly assigned officers. She is currently preparing for promotion to Sergeant and remains committed to professional growth and public service. As an Associate Board Member, Mariana is proud to support Sound Business and its mission of expanding educational and career opportunities for students. Having participated in the program during high school, she understands firsthand the positive impact it can have and is dedicated to helping future generations benefit from the same opportunities that helped shape her own success.

Krystina Buckley

Krystina Buckley is a business owner with more than 15 years of experience helping individuals and organizations achieve their financial and business goals. A proud graduate of A. Philip Randolph H.S., She has developed an early appreciation for hard work, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Much of her inspiration came from working with SBI on various art showcases, where Krystina had the opportunity to utilize her audiovisual (AV) talents at a very young age. Those experiences, along with the lessons learned from her first job, taught me the value of responsibility, teamwork, and community engagement. They also helped shape her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence. Krystina strongly believes that success is measured not only by personal achievement but also by the ability to give back. Through her business and community involvement, She remains dedicated to supporting others, creating opportunities, and making a positive impact on the lives of those around her.

Destany Boykin

Destany Boykin is a dedicated educator at J. M. Rapport School of Career Development, a District 75 program serving students with moderate to severe disabilities. A proud Bronx native, she has built her career around helping young people in her community define and achieve their own version of success. Destany earned her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Urban and Community Studies from McDaniel College in 2017, followed by a Master of Science for Teachers from Pace University in 2022. Her work centers on fostering independence, confidence, and meaningful growth for every learner she supports. With compassion and unwavering commitment, Destany strives to ensure that all students are seen, valued, and empowered to thrive in ways that honor their strengths, identities, and aspirations

Jeffrey Mejia

Jeffrey Mejia, is a Dominican-American entrepreneur and operations professional from Washington Heights, New York City. He currently work in office operations at Attentive, where he focus on workplace experience, vendor management, and creating a positive environment for employees. Outside of his career, He is building Rafi, a gamified e-commerce platform that combines sweepstakes and retail to create a unique and engaging shopping experience. He passionate about startups, technology, fitness, and creating opportunities that bring people together through innovation.

Leeann Medina-Martinez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent a lot of time providing counseling or psychotherapy services to the entire life span from children to older adults. I have worked in the non profit and for profit settings. I have worked in advocacy roles for equal access to minority groups. I am passionate about people getting access to opportunities and having good experiences.

Jelani Stuart

Jelani Stuart is a 2015 A Phillip Randolph Campus High School graduate. He participated in the College Career Preparatory Institute and Co-Lead the West Indian DVD dance team. He went on to attend the University of The Arts where he received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Acting. He is currently a working artist and a active member of the community.

Jamily Duarte

Jamily Duarte is Passionate about helping others achieve their goals. She is both a dedicated educator and licensed real estate agent. She earned a full scholarship to Vassar College, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a focus on Latin American Studies and Education. After graduation, she began her teaching career in the Bronx and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Special Education from City College of New York, followed by an ESL certification from Lehman College. In 2023, she obtained her real estate license. Today, she balances life as a teacher, realtor, dog mom, and proud homeowner. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Alonzo Gardner

Alonzo Gardner is a Alumni from the Class of 2016. SBI played a crucial role when he was younger. SBI helped him stay on track and focused on his career/future. He chose this position in SBI because he wants to make an impact on the future generations of students that are breaking into their career paths and need guidance on making the right connections to get them to the next step.
