Our Mission
Sound Business, Inc. (SBI) fosters systemic socio-economic change through grassroots initiatives which educate, organize and mobilize. Over its three-decade residency in Harlem’s A. Philip Randolph Campus High School, SBI has positively impacted the trajectories of thousands of its students from socio-economically disadvantaged communities throughout New York City. SBI strives to be an incubator of youth empowerment, community building, and social change by providing transformative educational experiences. Its innovative Inclusive Grassroots Cooperative (IGC) framework, is a model for redefining the public’s role in public schools.
